Interview: Farewell to Chairman Frank Klaassen after 25 years with EMRIC
After more than two decades of commitment, outgoing Chairman Frank Klaassen is stepping down from EMRIC. In an in-depth interview, he reflects on his time as chairman, the evolution of the network, the importance of cross-border cooperation between emergency services, and expresses his confidence in the new generation that will carry the network forward.
Over the years, he has witnessed how EMRIC has grown from a pioneering initiative into a strong cooperation network. Yet, according to him, its core has always remained the same: knowing each other, meeting each other, and working together across borders. Because emergencies simply do not stop at national borders.
