On March 20, 2024, the annual meeting of N4 took place at the Gouvernement in Maastricht. EMRIC is a member of N4 and was invited to present the EMRIC cooperation as one of the collaboration concepts along the German-Dutch border. N4 focuses on mutual learning, which was also the theme of the day. In the morning, guests were welcomed by the governor of Limburg, Emile Roemer, in the assembly hall. In the afternoon, the 'museum tour' took place, during which collaboration concepts, including EMRIC, were presented. The EMRIC office reflected on what has already been achieved in our cooperation over the last 10 years in joint exercises, crisis management, and emergency response, and engaged with guests about experiences in cross-border collaboration.
N4 stands for Network Dutch and NRW Non-police Crisis Management. N4 is a network between the responsible partners in the context of non-police-related crisis management at the border with the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) in Germany and the Netherlands. Key partners are the Dutch safety regions located at the border with NRW, and the German Kreise, kreisfreie Städte, and Bezirksregierungen located at the border with the Netherlands.
